Track every deal, payment and manager commission, and catch risky contract terms before you sign.
DealSafe is the creator’s independent deal-control layer — track sponsorships and payments, check manager and agency commissions, and spot risky contract terms before you sign. Built by XLR8, a talent agency that learned this the hard way.
THE MOMENT THIS BECOMES USEFUL
AI is how DealSafe reads a contract — it’s not the product. The product is your deals, payments and commissions living in one place you control.
01
Add a deal or paste/upload a contract — a sponsorship, invoice, or manager split.
02
Rules run first and catch the highest-value gaps instantly; AI-assisted analysis explains the clauses in plain English.
03
Every flag links back to the exact clause it came from and comes with a question to ask — never a verdict.
04
Save what you choose to your ledger. Payments, deadlines and commissions stay tracked long after the check is gone.
Not a creator CRM, and not a document dump by default. DealSafe is a financial and deal-control layer built around sponsorships, managers, agencies and platform revenue — keeping the original contract is something you choose to do, not something that happens to you.
Every sponsorship, deliverable, payment schedule and agency split in one record — CSV import to start, a clean ledger from day one.
Compare your contract's stated commission rate against what was actually claimed or paid. Mismatches are flagged instantly.
Upload or paste a contract for a one-time, private read. Payment terms, exclusivity, usage rights, renewal and termination clauses are checked against a red-flag list, then explained in plain English.
A live view of outstanding invoices and upcoming payment dates, with reminders before anything goes overdue.
A shareable, printable summary of a deal's flags and payment status, with sensitive values hidden by default.
When the stakes are high, hand off to a qualified solicitor or accountant with a clean, structured summary — not a wall of raw contract text.
DealSafe holds contracts, income and commission data — that’s substantially more sensitive than a typical creator dashboard, and we’ve built the data model around that from day one. The ICO recommends encryption for stored or transmitted personal data where unauthorised access could cause harm or distress; uploaded contracts and income records plainly qualify.

Where AI-assisted processing is used, data handling follows our provider’s enterprise data controls under a data-processing agreement.
A subscription, not a cut. A platform that charges for the tool is more trustworthy than one that benefits from the deals it’s assessing — so we never take a percentage of what you earn.

XLR8 signed creators faster than we had deal capacity to properly support, and that’s on us. If you were ever represented by XLR8, you get free lifetime access to DealSafe Pro — not in exchange for praise, promotion or a review. Your data stays private and is never used in marketing without your explicit written permission.
Claim your Lifetime Pro access“We signed too many creators before we had enough deal capacity, and I know that meant we didn’t give everyone the standard of support we should have. I’m moving away from the agency model and building a tool for tracking deals, payments and commissions, and flagging key contract questions. I’d like to give you Lifetime Pro access with no catch and no expectation to post or reply.”
XLR8 started as a creator talent agency, representing streaming, gaming and UGC talent through brand deals, sponsorships and campaign work — including creators involved in London Fashion Week campaigns and long-running partner brands. It’s the longest-running business in our portfolio.
Running an agency day to day meant sitting on both sides of the table: negotiating deals, chasing brands for payment, checking whether a manager’s commission actually matched the contract, and reading sponsorship agreements clause by clause looking for the terms nobody had explained to the creator signing them.
We also scaled creator signings faster than we had deal capacity to properly support — and that meant some creators didn’t get the standard of service they should have. We don’t think building a bigger agency fixes that. Software that gives creators direct, independent visibility into their own deals does.
DealSafe is that software: XLR8’s agency experience, turned into a tool that works for the creator directly — not for us, not for a brand, and not for a manager taking a cut. It’s independent of any agency relationship, including our own former one.
What that means in practice
No. DealSafe gives educational flags and questions to ask — never a legal verdict on whether a contract is valid or safe to sign. For high-stakes deals, use an Expert Review with a qualified solicitor.
Not by default. Your file and its extracted text are analysed in memory and deleted within 5 minutes. If you want to refer back to a contract later, you can choose to keep the original for that specific deal in your Deal History — encrypted, and removable whenever you like. Nothing is kept unless you say so.
Deterministic rule checks run first and catch the highest-value gaps every time — missing payment dates, unclear exclusivity, currency, commission base. AI-assisted analysis adds plain-English context on top, and every output is schema-validated before you see it.
Only what you explicitly share inside a workspace you control. DealSafe is independent of any agency — including XLR8's former agency business.
Never. DealSafe is a subscription product. Taking a percentage of creator earnings would undermine the independence the product is built on.
You can request a full export or full deletion at any time from Settings. Deletion requests are tracked and fulfilled — it's in the audit log, not just a promise.
You can, and general-purpose AI assistants are genuinely good at reading text. DealSafe isn’t trying to out-write them — it’s built around the parts a one-off chat can’t do: your deals live in one place, checks run the same way every time, and every flag is tied to evidence and to your actual ledger.
| Capability | DealSafe | General-purpose chat assistant |
|---|---|---|
| Deterministic checks | Same rule set runs every time — missing payment date, currency, exclusivity scope never depend on how you phrase the question. | Depends on the prompt; easy to miss something you didn't think to ask about. |
| Evidence-linked flags | Every flag quotes the exact clause it came from. | Answers are narrative — you have to go find the clause yourself. |
| Tied to your deal ledger | Commission checks compare against the numbers you've already logged. | Starts from zero each time; no memory of your other deals or payments. |
| Structured, consistent output | Schema-validated JSON — flags, severity and a question to ask, every time. | Free-text answers that vary between runs. |
| Deletion by default, kept only if you choose | Source text deleted within 5 minutes unless you explicitly opt in to keep a contract for a deal. | Retention depends on the tool and your account settings. |
| Never gives a legal verdict | Always a flag plus a question — never "this is valid" or "don't sign this." | Can be prompted into confident-sounding verdicts it shouldn't give. |
General-purpose AI assistants are powerful tools. DealSafe is built specifically for creator deals — that specialisation is the whole product, not a claim about which underlying model is “better.”
